News: Pedestrian hurt after driver knocks red cement ball loose at Tacoma Target

TACOMA, WA – A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by a red cement ball knocked loose by a reckless driver at a Target store on Sunday.

According to the Tacoma News Tribune, The incident took place at about 1:15 p.m. as a 33-year-old woman was speeding in the Target parking lot on South 23rd Street.

The woman struck one of the red cement balls outside of the store, knocking it loose and causing it to roll into a pedestrian standing nearby. The unidentified female pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries to her head and her hip.

The woman in the at-fault vehicle was arrested and is facing charges including vehicular assault and reckless endangerment.
