SEATTLE, WA – A Washington State Patrol cruiser was struck and pushed into a pedestrian while the Trooper was responding to a prior collision on I-5 Monday afternoon.
According to a tweet by WSP, the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. along I-5 near the Michigan Street overpass.

The accident took place as a northbound driver struck the patrol car and pushed it into an individual standing nearby. The individual was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver responsible for the second crash was arrested under suspicion of DUI. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
