News: Bicyclist hit, killed by USPS semi in central Georgetown

by | Mar 25, 2021 | Accidents in the News |

SEATTLE, WA – A bicyclist died at the scene after being hit by a USPS semi truck at a collision in central Georgetown yesterday, KOMO reports.

Police say that the semi was stopped at S Michigan Street when it pulled forward to make a right turn against the light on Corson Avenue, striking the cyclist. Initial investigations suggested that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors, and investigators believe the driver simply didn’t see the cyclist.

It is unclear at this time whether the driver will face any criminal charges.
