News: One person killed, another injured in multi-vehicle accident on I-5 in Everett

EVERETT, WA – Washington State Patrol say one person is dead and another is in the hospital following a multi-vehicle accident on I-5 near the Snohomish River, reports KPUG 1170.

According to officials, a man from Everett lost control of his vehicle while traveling northbound on Interstate 5 near the Snohomish River and crashed into the barrier.

A second vehicle swerved to avoid the accident and crashed off the roadway. A third vehicle driven by a Tacoma woman then struck the Everett man’s car.

A fourth driver, Larry Baker of Burlington, also swerved to avoid the accident but collided with the guardrail.

The Everett man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Tacoma woman was taken to Providence Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
