News: Wrong-way driver fatally collides with logging truck on US 12 in Grays Harbor

GRAYS HARBOR, WA – A driver fatally collided with a logging truck on US 12 on Monday, according to KOMO News.

An 80-year-old man was driving west on US 12 when he strayed into the eastbound lane and hit a logging truck operated by a 51-year-old man head-on around 2:30 p.m. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the crash.

Rescue crews airlifted the 80-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

The logging truck driver refused medical treatment at the scene.

Officials have not released the names of either driver.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the collision.
