News: Motorcyclist dies after crash with DUI suspect in west Auburn

KING COUNTY, WA — A 34-year-old man was killed Thursday night when his motorcycle was struck by a car near a west Auburn intersection, according to MyNorthwest.

Auburn Police were called to the scene in the area of Peasley Canyon Road and West Valley Highway South, near the State Route 18 offramp. The fatal wreck was reported shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Details remain limited, but officials said a woman was behind the wheel of a car that hit the motorcyclist, who died from his injuries at the scene.

Police indicated the woman fled the crash, but she was arrested shortly after responding officers found her vehicle.

The female driver was suspected of intoxication and faces felony charges.

Parts of the intersection was blocked off during the response and investigation.
