News: Hit-and-run driver injures female pedestrian in Pacific Beach

PACIFIC BEACH, WA – A hit-and-run driver sent a woman to the hospital yesterday following a collision on SR-109 north of Pacific Beach, KXRO reports.

The woman—identified by the Washington State Patrol as a 39-year-old from Cornelius—was walking on the highway’s shoulder when she was hit by a southbound vehicle at about 10 p.m. Wednesday. She was thrown into a ditch on the side of the road, while the vehicle drove away from the scene.

Emergency responders airlifted the woman to Tacoma General Hospital. Her current condition is unknown.

The hit-and-run driver remains at large. We will update this post as this story continues to develop.
