Another wrong-way driver causes an accident in Seattle today

A wrong-way driver who collided into another car in downtown Seattle this morning is in critical condition, according to news reports. This is the eighth car accident caused by this type of wrong-way driving in Western Washington state since Christmas.

Woman charged for causing 9-car pileup in Seattle

A 21-year-old woman who allegedly caused a 9-car-pileup in Seattle's Northgate neighborhood last week has been charged. Four people, in addition to this woman, were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries following the car accident.

Car accident seriously injures Seattle area firefighter

In responding to motor vehicle accidents, emergency responders often put their own safety at risk. A recent car accident about twenty miles away from Seattle on Interstate 5 underscored this fact when a man with a fire & rescue team was critically injured. He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition was listed as critical but stable.Reportedly, the car accident happened near Kent during the early morning hours. A pickup truck was traveling on the interstate when it rolled over and came to rest on the left barrier. There were two occupants of the truck, but fortunately neither person received injuries.

No serious injuries reported in Seattle school bus/car accident

Seattle residents are well accustomed to seeing school buses on the streets. When parents put their kids on these buses they expect them to arrive at their destinations safely. Thankfully, this is usually the case. However, earlier this month, parents and school officials were almost certainly shocked to learn of an accident between a school bus and a passenger car. Luckily, no serious injuries were reported at the time.

Car accident injures man and his son, drunk cop arrested

A Seattle man was picking up his 8-year-old son from school last month at about 1:20 p.m., when his car was suddenly rear-ended by an unmarked Seattle police car. Behind the wheel was a Seattle Police officer, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The collisions occurred at the intersection of Chennault Beach Road and SR 525, and the impact from the car accident caused the car that was rear-ended car to crash into two other vehicles. The man's vehicle had been hit so hard in the collision that it was pushed underneath the car in front of him.

Deadly car accident involving Seattle University student

On Oct. 16, a Seattle University pitcher tragically died following a car accident in Idaho. It is not yet known what led to the car accident, but police have ruled out alcohol as a factor. The 22-year-old student had transferred to the school in the fall of 2010 after attending Spokane Falls Community College.
