Avvo

Avvo was founded in Seattle, Washington in 2007 by Mark Britton, a former Expedia executive. While teaching in Italy, Mark was contacted by many friends and relatives seeking his advice on legal issues and recommendations on attorneys to hire. He believed a better solution was to combine expert information and transparency with the accessibility that technology enables.

The Avvo Rating is Avvo’s effort to evaluate a lawyer’s background,. The rating is calculated using a mathematical model that considers the information shown in a lawyer’s profile, including a lawyer’s years in practice, disciplinary history, professional achievements and industry recognition – all factors that, in our opinion, are relevant to assessing a lawyer’s qualifications.

Matt Dubin is very proud of his 10.0 Avvo rating, the highest score possible.
