RENTON, WA – Officials with the Renton Fire Department reported at least one injury resulting from a single-vehicle crash near Talbot Road South Sunday night.
According to KIRO, the accident occurred along South 200th Street near the intersection with Talbot Road South.
Officials say the driver collided with a utility pole at a high rate of speed causing both to burst into flames as a result. Firefighters reported minor injuries sustained in the wreck. However, they have not said who sustained those injuries.
The intersection was blocked for a few hours while Puget Sound Energy shut down the transformer and firefighters extinguished the blaze.
