Suspected DUI driver injures motorcyclist in Milton crash

MILTON, WA — A motorcycle rider was in serious condition Thursday night after being hit by a suspected DUI driver along Interstate 5 southbound in Milton, reported Trooper Robert Reyer with the Washington State Patrol for District 1.

The incident occurred at 70th Avenue East before 9:30 p.m.

The rider was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and the suspected driver was arrested on scene for DUI.

The left lane along I-5 southbound was blocked as the scene was investigated by troopers and authorities with Washington State Department of Transportation.

Trooper Reyer reported the road was reopened at 11:16 p.m.
