News: Portion of Interstate-405 blocked in Renton due to collision 

RENTON, WA – A portion of I-405 North is currently blocked due to a collision that happened before 1 p.m. 

According to WSDOT Traffic, the crash happened north of Sunset Boulevard and is blocking the right lane. 

On I-405 northbound just north of Sunset Blvd (MP 5) there is a collision blocking the right lane.

Transportation crews have not provided a time estimate regarding when the scene will clear. However, drivers may want to consider alternative routes as crews work to clean up debris from the collision and restore safe road conditions. 

The exact cause of the crash was not reported.
