SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 4-year-old child died Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle outside of a residence in south Snohomish, reports KIRO 7 Seattle.
Deputies responded to the scene off the 15000 block of State Route 9, shortly before 2:00 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but authorities said the child, who was playing in front of a home, was hit by a vehicle that had traveled up the driveway.
The young victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It was unclear whether the driver stayed after the incident. No arrests or pending charges have been reported as of this writing.
An investigation remains underway.
