THURSTON COUNTY, WA — Two semi-trucks were involved in a wreck Thursday morning on Interstate 5 in north Tumwater, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision occurred on the northbound interstate at Exit 104 to the U.S. Highway 101 interchange, in an area south of Tumwater Historical Park. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 5:41 a.m.
Details are limited, but at the time of the WSP report, troopers and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews had arrived at the scene, and tow crews were en route.
Photos shared at the scene show at least one of the involved semis overturned onto its side.

No injuries were reported, but a heavy diesel spill was reported. Two right lanes were shut down and expected to remain closed until about 2:00 or 3:00 p.m., about 8-9 hours later.

By 12:00 p.m., multiple lanes were reopened, leaving only the right lane blocked for crash clearance. At 12:51 p.m., the entire roadway was announced reopened to the public.
