BENTON COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident involving a semi-truck was reported Wednesday on U.S. Highway 395 in Kennewick, according to KOMO News.
Washington State Patrol said the driver of the semi made an abrupt stop on the highway that caused a load of steel beams on his truck to shift and plow through the vehicle’s cab.
Photos captured at the scene show a bundle of the beams crashed through just inches from the driver’s seat.
The driver was not reported injured, confirmed authorities. No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the incident.
An investigation was underway.
