News: WSP responds to collision on I-405 NB in north Renton

KING COUNTY, WA — Multiple agencies responded to a wreck late Tuesday morning that blocked the left lane of Interstate 405 in north Renton, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident impacted the northbound lanes just north of Sunset Boulevard and was first reported by WSDOT at 11:05 a.m.

Authorities did not say what caused the wreck, but by 12:02 p.m., nearly an hour later, the scene continued to block the left lane. The Washington State Patrol, WSDOT crews, and Tow Assistance were all assisting at the scene, which appeared to involve two semi-trucks.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., the scene had been cleared to the median and all lanes were restored to traffic.
