News: WSP, IRT respond to collision on I-405 SB near Tukwila

KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a wreck Monday afternoon on Interstate 405 near Tukwila, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident took place on the southbound lanes of I-405, leaving the HOV lane blocked just north of State Route 181. It was first reported by WSDOT at 3:15 p.m.

No information regarding the cause or nature of the crash has been made available at this time, but the Washington State Patrol and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) responded to the scene at around 3:28 p.m.

Motorists were advised of delays impacting the area.
