SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 30-year-old woman was placed on life support following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash last Tuesday, March 19, on State Route 99 in Lynnwood, according to KOMO News.
The incident took place just south of the intersection with 148th Street Southwest at about 8:50 p.m.
Washington State Patrol officials say the woman was in the center lane of the southbound highway when she was hit by a vehicle whose driver failed to remain at the scene.
The victim, who was rushed to an area hospital with traumatic head damage, had to be placed on life support. A week following the crash, her family has said that they are preparing to “let her go” pending coordination with organ recipients.
The WSP has since shared an image of a vehicle, captured on security cameras, that is believed to be connected to the incident. Investigators have described the vehicle as appearing like a “dark-colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla.”
