SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon blocked a lane on northbound Interstate 5 in south Seattle, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred just north of Swift Avenue, in the city’s Georgetown area. It was first reported by the WSDOT at 12:55 p.m.
Very few details have been made available, but the left northbound lane was closed for over 30 minutes following the initial report. While it’s unclear whether any injuries were sustained, Washington State Patrol troopers and local firefighters were at the scene.
Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., crews had removed the scene from the roadway, reopening all lanes to traffic.
This collision is now blocking the right lane on northbound I-5 north of Albro Pl in #Seattle.
