RENTON, WA – Washington State Patrol arrested a woman for DUI following a fiery collision that happened on Interstate 405 South on Wednesday, Kiro7 reports.
The 24-year-old woman was driving north on the southbound lanes when she crashed into a Washington Department of Transportation traffic sign near a construction zone.
The woman was able to escape her vehicle and was arrested.
The event happened hours before a scheduled annual ceremony in Lacey discussing work zone safety and honoring 61 WSDOT employees who lost their lives on the job since 1950.
