News: WSP arrests driver after pursuit-turned-collision in Tukwila 

TUKWILA, WA – Washington State Patrol arrested a driver for eluding following a pursuit-turned-collision on Interstate 5 in Tukwila on Friday. 

Trooper Rick Johnson first reported this incident at 4:19 p.m. Johnson said it began when troopers tried to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding driver. 

Today, troopers tried to stop this vehicle for speeding, NB I-5 in Tukwila. The driver fled and the pursuit was terminated after troopers lost sight. The vehicle exited to Albro, crashed into the barrier and another vehicle. No injuries and the driver was arrested for Eluding- NJ pic.twitter.com/vk4mTkEjwj

The motorist refused to stop, which prompted a pursuit. The chase ended when the driver took an exit to South Albro Place, collided with a barrier, and then crashed into another vehicle. 

The suspect’s blue car sustained severe front-end damage. Despite the serious nature of the crash, no one was injured.
