News: WSDOT closes Highway 99 South due to semi-truck crash 

TUKWILA, WA – Washington Department of Transportation had to shut down the majority of southbound Highway 99 on Wednesday due to a semi-truck crash, Komo News said.

The collision occurred at midnight. Based on what we know so far, it seems the Amazon semi-truck crashed into light tracks above the road. Komo News said one person got a ladder and tried to stabilize the truck.

A tow truck and two heavy-duty wrecker trucks were also summoned to the scene, and ended up towing the cab from the scene, and the wrecker trucks also removed the trailer.

Delays could be seen on East Marginal Way as officials worked to remove the truck from the road. No damage was found to the guardrail, and the light rail service was not impacted.

Officials have not said if anyone was injured, how many people were involved in the crash, or the events leading to the collision.
