SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA – A woman was severely injured in a single-car accident on I-5 in Snohomish County on Christmas Eve, the Whidbey News-Times reports.
According to authorities, a Subaru Legacy driven by 20-year-old Ali Deleon was headed south on I-5 near Southwest 164th Street in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a barrier.
A passenger, 22-year-old Maile Harding, was transported to Providence Hospital in Everett with severe injuries.
State Patrol suspects that the crash was drug or alcohol-related. The accident remains under investigation.
