News: Woman dies following 2-vehicle DUI crash in Kent

KENT, WA – According to KOMO News, a woman lost her life in a wreck allegedly caused by two impaired drivers on the 22400 block of Pacific Highway S on Monday.

A 45-year-old man was driving a Ford Taurus south on the highway when he attempted to make a U-turn into the northbound lanes and slammed into a 34-year-old man driving a northbound Buick Regal around 11:37 p.m. Following the collision, one of the two cars caught on fire.

First responders performed life-saving measures on a woman from one of the cars before pronouncing her dead at the scene.

Officers found both drivers to be impaired and arrested the Buick driver. The Taurus driver was taken to an area hospital.

The Kent Police Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
