News: Woman, 79, killed in pedestrian collision in Orting 

ORTING, WA – A 79-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian collision that occurred on SR-162 on Friday, Kiro7 reports. 

The 79-year-old woman was crossing the highway and was struck by an oncoming car. The Washington State Patrol declared her dead at the scene. Her name has not been publicly released. 

WSP confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but did not say if they cited the motorist. 

A full investigation is underway.
