News: Woman, 41, killed in pedestrian collision in South Prairie 

SOUTH PRAIRIE, WA – A 41-year-old woman from Covington lost her life to a pedestrian collision that occurred in South Prairie on Tuesday. 

The 41-year-old woman was struck by a car while walking on an SR-162 eastbound lane, according to Fox13Seattle. The car came to rest on the right shoulder. 

The crash occurred before 5:15 p.m., and the woman died from her injuries a short time later. 

The car driver was uninjured. Washington State Patrol is working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved. 

Authorities had to shut down the eastbound lanes for over three hours to accommodate the scene clearance process. 

A full investigation is underway.
