KENT, WA – A man wanted for murder was booked into Spokane County Jail following a pursuit-turned-collision on Wednesday.
KOMO News said the events unraveled when King County deputies spotted the wanted man in the area of South 248th Street and 132nd Ave SE.
Deputies turned to stop the wanted man, who refused to listen. A pursuit was initiated and ended when the suspect crashed his pickup truck into a tree while trying to turn onto SE Kent-Kangley Road from South 268th Street.
The suspect and female passenger exited the vehicle and surrendered.
Deputies arrested the suspect, 27-year-old Johnathan Jeffries Woodcock, who is set to face a second-degree murder charge.
Law enforcement also arrested the female passenger on a misdemeanor and booked her into the SCORE Jail.
