KING COUNTY, WA — A 19-year-old male suspect has been arrested following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Saturday, September 2, in Burien that killed a female pedestrian, reports the King County Sheriff’s Office.
B-Town Blog said the fatal incident occurred in the area of Ambaum Boulevard South and South 174th Street. Burien Police and members of King County Fire District #2 responded to the scene at around 2:00 p.m.
An investigation remains open and ongoing, but officials said the victim, a 77-year-old woman, was struck by a 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe that fled the scene before authorities arrived.
On Wednesday, September 13, the KCSO reported that the suspect vehicle had been located.
Two days later, on September 15, the sheriff’s office updated that detectives had located and arrested a 19-year-old man in connection to the incident.
