WEST SEATTLE, WA — An 87-year-old man was sent to a hospital early Friday afternoon after a pedestrian crash in West Seattle’s North Delridge area, according to West Seattle Blog.
The incident occurred on the northbound side of Delridge Way Southwest, just north of Southwest Genesee Street, near Delridge Skatepark. It was first reported by WSB at 12:15 p.m.
While details remain limited, the Seattle Fire Department confirmed that an 87-year-old male pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for “observation” after being reportedly hit by a vehicle. Officials said the patient was in stable condition at the time of transport, but no other information regarding his injuries has been shared.
All northbound traffic on Delridge Way was forced to divert onto westbound Genesee Street during the emergency response and investigation.
Authorities have not released any information on the involved driver as of this writing, and no charges have been reported.
