News UPDATE: Black pickup involved in crash near North Bend

NEAR NORTH BEND, WA – According to new information from Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson, a black pickup truck was involved in a crash near North Bend Friday.

According to Johnson, it appears that the driver of the silver vehicle was “forced off” westbound Interstate 90 by another vehicle, which is what caused them to drift out of their road, go into the opposite lanes and crash head-on into a black pickup truck traveling in the eastbound lane. 

The silver vehicle and black pickup truck were seriously damaged. The engine came out of the silver vehicle, and the front half of the vehicle was completely damaged. The black pickup truck came to rest on a grassy ditch along the road and had a shattered windshield. 

Three people were sent to the hospital, and at least one of them was left in critical condition. 

The driver who “forced” the silver vehicle off the road is being questioned by investigators. As of this writing, no charges have been filed.
