News UPDATE: Arrest following fatal multi-vehicle crash in Auburn 

AUBURN, WA – Washington State Patrol arrested a semi-truck driver in connection to a fatal multi-vehicle crash that happened on SR 167 on Thursday. 

The collision happened before 8 a.m. near SR18. According to new information from Kiro 7, a semi-truck driver rear-ended a car, which pushed the car forward, causing it to crash into another truck. 

The car driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The semi-truck driver was arrested for vehicular homicide, officials confirm. 

By 1 p.m., two right lanes stayed closed, according to the Washington State Patrol. Authorities said the truck driver showed no signs of impairment. 

An investigation is underway.
