News: Two injured in single-car crash on I-5 near Seattle’s Haller Lake

SEATTLE, WA — Two people were hospitalized last Friday morning after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near north Seattle’s Haller Lake neighborhood, according to Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes near North 130th Street at approximately 9:24 a.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 2008 Ford Econoline was heading northbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with the concrete barrier. The vehicle was then sent back across the roadway to the two left lanes, where it overcorrected and returned to the right shoulder and through the barrier. First responders found the vehicle at rest on its side.

WSP confirmed two passengers, including a 39-year-old Kent man, were transported to Harborview Medical Center, where the extent of their injuries remain undisclosed.

No information on the other passenger or the driver have been released as of this writing.
