MORTON, WA – Washington State Patrol say two motorists were killed in a wrong way crash on State Route 7 north of Morton on Monday morning, reports The Daily Chronicle.
According to the preliminary crash report, the collision happened near mile marker 9 around 8 a.m.
21-year-old Sienna S. Toutai, of Randle, was driving northbound on SR-7 in a Suzuki along with a passenger, 26-year-old Chad Albertson from Tacoma. While traveling at an excessive speed, the Suzuki went off the right side of the roadway into a ditch before careening back onto the road and into oncoming traffic.
A 2011 Nissan Titan traveling in the southbound lane then collided with the passenger side of the Suzuki, injuring its driver, a 55-year-old man from Spanaway.
Toutai and Albertson were not secured by seat belts in the Suzuki and suffered fatal blunt force injuries .
The injured Nissan Titan driver was taken to Arbor Health Morton Hospital for treatment. No further details on his condition were provided.
