THURSTON COUNTY, WA – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred on I-5 Northbound near the Scatter Creek Rest Area on Sunday, according to FOX 13.
A driver was heading south in the northbound lanes when they collided head-on with another vehicle. A man and two women died in the wreck.
Following the collision, the two vehicles blocked the road. A third vehicle driven by a 21-year-old woman then collided with one of the disabled vehicles. She was not hurt in the collision.
Crews had the area cleared and reopened around 10:30 a.m.
Officials have not released the victims’ names.
