KITSAP COUNTY, WA — One person was injured Wednesday afternoon when a train struck a large dump truck in the west Bremerton area, according to KOMO News.
The accident occurred on the railroad tracks near a quarry toward the south end of Kitsap Lake. It was first reported by KOMO News at 9:06 p.m.
Little information has been released, but the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said the truck driver sustained minor injuries. It was unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital.
No other injuries have been reported.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear, but an investigation by the KCSO is ongoing.
