News: Traffic flagger, 70, hospitalized after crash involving trash truck in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – A 70-year-old woman, a traffic flagger for a private company, was sent to the hospital following a crash involving a trash truck on Friday, Kiro7 said.

The incident happened before 11 a.m. in the area of Broadway and East Pine Street. The flagger was on the job when she was struck by a trash truck, Seattle Police said.

EMS crews rushed the woman to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but did not specify whether they would face any charges.
