News: Three hurt in crash involving police officer in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – Three people were injured when a Seattle police officer collided with another vehicle at 5th Avenue and Seneca Street on Friday, according to KIRO 7. 

The 24-year-old male officer was on his way to a domestic disturbance call with his lights and sirens activated when he entered the intersection on a red light and crashed into the civilian’s vehicle around 1:30 a.m.

First responders transported the two people in the civilian’s car, a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, and the officer to an area hospital in stable condition. 

The incident is under investigation by the Seattle Police Department.
