News: Teen left hurt after crash at top of SW Charlestown St hill in West Seattle

WEST SEATTLE, WA — An 18-year-old man was injured due to a two-vehicle wreck Thursday afternoon in West Seattle’s Genesee neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

The collision occurred in the area of Southwest Charlestown Street and 46th Avenue Southwest. It was first reported by WSB at 4:40 p.m.

Seattle Police have not confirmed the cause of the accident, but the teen was driving a passenger car that collided with another passenger car driven by a 41-year-old man.

A photo captured at the scene shows at least one vehicle with substantial front-end damage.

At least one Seattle Fire Department engine responded to the scene, but officials said no major injuries were reported.

The teen, who suffered minor injuries, was evaluated at the scene along with the other driver, who was deemed uninjured. Neither patient was transported to a hospital.

Motorists were instructed to avoid the area as crews worked to remove the vehicles.
