News: Teen driver charged after multi-injury crash on SR-599 in Tukwila

KING COUNTY, WA — An 18-year-old Renton resident was charged after a wrong-way crash early Sunday that injured her and three others in Tukwila, reports KIRO 7 News.

The Washington State Patrol said the collision occurred on the northbound lanes of State Route 599, south of Interurban Avenue.

According to authorities, the young woman was driving south on the northbound highway shortly before 1:30 a.m. when she collided head-on with another vehicle.

Four people, including the suspect, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. It was not immediately clear whether all victims were transported to a hospital.

Troopers said the teen has since been charged with DUI and vehicular assault.
