News: SUV crash sparks fire at residence in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — An SUV crashed into a utility pole, causing fire at a residence Tuesday morning in Tacoma, according to Q13 Fox.

Crews with Tacoma Fire responded to an area of Marine View Drive between Taylor Way and Norpoint Way Northeast.

Residents of the home were able to vacate safely, and the fire has since been extinguished.

A portion of the road was closed down for much of Tuesday morning following the incident as repairs were made to damaged power poles.
