PORT ORCHARD, WA – A woman was booked into the Kitsap County Jail on suspicion of DUI after crashing her car into a tree in Port Orchard on Tuesday.
According to Kiro7, an eyewitness said the female driver first stopped at a school crosswalk, stayed still despite no oncoming traffic, swerved off Southeast Phillips Road, and then crashed into a tree.
Kitsap County deputies said the woman had several alcoholic beverages inside her car and declined the field sobriety tests. So deputies obtained a search warrant to have her blood drawn at St. Michael Center.
Officials did not say what the woman’s toxicology results were or whether she was injured. However, they confirmed that she received medical clearance before going to jail.
