News: Suspected DUI driver causes multi-vehicle crash in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — A suspected DUI driver caused a multi-vehicle crash that injured five people Tuesday night in Tacoma, according to KIRO 7 News.

Authorities arrived on scene in the 1500 block of Marine View Drive at around 7:00 p.m.

The causing driver, a 30-year-old woman, was attempting a turn into a parking lot when her car hit another vehicle, causing that vehicle to spin out of control and strike two other cars.

As a result of the incident, five people were taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Investigators say the woman suspected of driving under the influence will be charged with vehicular assault.
