News: Suspect arrested in connection with hit-and-run crash in Thurston Co.

THURSTON COUNTY, CO – The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run crash on Monday. 

TCSO told Kiro7 that the events started around 2 p.m., when the suspect, who was reportedly high on drugs, crashed into several vehicles and a property in Thurston County. 

Deputies were quick to arrive at the scene of the crash. A short time later, they located the suspect, driving at a high rate in Grand Mound. The suspect did not stop for law enforcement, which prompted a pursuit into the Port of Centralia.

The pursuit continued on a dirt road. Video footage showed that the deputies were able to pin the suspect’s stolen white vehicle. 

The suspect, who appeared to be a male with long hair and a noticeable tattoo, was arrested. Deputies booked him into Thurston County Jail for previous drug crimes, DUI, eluding, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
