News: Suspect arrested, booked into jail after two-vehicle collision in Monroe 

MONROE, WA – A suspect was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail following a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 2 on Tuesday. 

Kiro7 said the crash occurred around 9 a.m. Preliminary details show that the suspect, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, was speeding when he crashed his vehicle into a Dodge Grand Caravan. 

Monroe police obtained a search warrant and found cocaine in the suspect’s Volkswagen Jetta. He was arrested and faces vehicular assault charges. 

The suspect’s passenger was sent to a hospital for treatment of a leg injury.
