News: SPD responds to hit-and-run on 14th Ave S in south Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported following a hit-and-run crash late Tuesday afternoon in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported in the 8600 block of 14th Avenue South, about two blocks south of the Duwamish Waterway. Officers with the department’s Southwest Precinct responded to the area after receiving a call just before 5:00 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but police dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) that left at least one person with unspecified injuries. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived, qualifying the event as a hit-and-run.

As of this writing, the SPD has not released a description of the fleeing suspect and/or vehicle.
