News: SFD responds to wreck on Wallingford Ave N in north Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Seattle Fire Department crews were called to a crash late Sunday night in north Seattle’s Licton Springs neighborhood, according to Seattle Fire Department.

The collision occurred in the 8500 block of Wallingford Avenue North, near North 85th Street, shortly before 11:00 p.m.

Officials have not disclosed details regarding the parties involved or the cause of the crash, but one person was initially reported trapped in the vehicle.

By the time firefighters arrived on scene, the trapped occupant had been able to self-extricate from the wreckage. It was unclear whether they were seriously injured or required transport to a hospital.

Crews are responding to reports of a vehicle collision near the 8500 block of Wallingford Ave N with reports of one person trapped. Please avoid the area.

Motorists were asked to detour around the area as crews responded to the scene.
