News: Serious collision closes three lanes on I-5 near Midway in Kent

KING COUNTY, WA — A serious vehicle accident Friday morning resulted in the closure of three left lanes on Interstate 5 southbound near Kent’s Midway neighborhood, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

On I-5 southbound just north of SR 516 there is a collision blocking the 2 left lanes.

The crash happened on the stretch of I-5 southbound just before state Route 516 at around 6:45 a.m.

Fire crews and Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the scene where traffic had to divert through two right lanes.

At 8:38 a.m., nearly two hours after the accident, the crash was reported to have cleared from the scene.

No further information has been reported on the vehicles involved or any injuries sustained.
