SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck hit the Snohomish River Bridge Monday afternoon, blocking all northbound lanes of State Route 529 out of Everett, reports FOX13 Seattle.
The accident occurred at East Marine View Drive and was first reported by FOX13 at 3:33 p.m.
Details are limited, but Everett Police said crews were called to the scene after the semi, which was carrying an oversized load, hit the bridge. The integrity of the structure was inspected to ensure no permanent damage was sustained.
By 7:33 p.m., about four hours after the closure, the semi and its load had been cleared from the bridge.
