SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck driver died Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 near the Southcenter area in Tukwila, according to Q13 FOX Seattle.
The fatal crash occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5 near the Interstate 405 interchange and was first reported by WSP trooper Rick Johnson at 12:46 p.m.
No information has been shared on the events leading up to the crash, but WSP confirmed the truck driver died at the scene.
Motorists were encouraged to find alternate routes around the area as authorities investigated the accident.
