SEATTLE, WA — A semi-truck accident late Tuesday morning blocked a right lane on Interstate 90 near the Judkins Park neighborhood in Seattle, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash happened on the westbound lanes just east of Rainier Avenue South, over a span of the floating bridge. It was first reported by WSDOT at 10:25 a.m.Details are limited, but authorities said a truck driver collided with a WSDOT portable electronic sign, causing it to fall onto the pedestrian path.
By 10:36 a.m., WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) and Washington State Patrol had responded to the scene, and an additional right lane was blocked off by 11:30 a.m.

Footage at the scene shows crews using a boom truck to remove the sign form the path.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., all westbound lanes over the floating bridge were reopened to traffic.
